The end customer requirement
The customer needs to build a ripening plant for exotic fruit that maintains the very high quality levels for which the brand is known in the market.

Storage description
The plant consists of four ripening cells and a large room for calibration and packaging. The plant is completed by a quality control laboratory which, by sampling, checks each ripening cycle, analysing the weight, colour and consistency of the fruit flesh.

Storage informations
The cooling capacity for use is 66 kW per cell. Within each of the four ripening cells, 24 pallets can be placed, totalling 24,000 kg of exotic fruit. Depending on the type of exotic product, the total ripened in one year is about 7,500 tonnes.

In the ripening cells: special dual flow air coolers, with 3 Ziehl-Abegg electronic reversible fans, series Maxvent, 630 mm.
The dual flow air coolers dedicated to the ripening cells have been designed in collaboration with Ziehl, the manufacturer of the fans, in order to meet the high cooling capacities that are required during the ripening process of the exotic product.

Thanks to a careful study of the process, the development of these special air coolers has made it possible to achieve a marked improvement in product quality and a reduction in ripening times.

As the customer is particularly demanding as regards ventilation efficiency, which is essential for homogeneous ripening of the product, these air coolers have been specifically designed to guarantee the highest quality of the fruit once it has ripened.
