A new range of radial evaporators: This is the latest project developed by Stefani, the leading Italian company in the cooling and refrigeration industry.

The range of new radial evaporators features a new design: It has been developed applying calculation methods and programs developed in-house, to understand fluid mechanics, vibrations and noise.

These air coolers are very compact, efficient and feature excellent performance; they consume very little power because of their EC-type motors.

The air coolers with radial fans manufactured by Stefani have been designed for those cases in which ventilation with a residual pressure of 150 Pa is needed and when channels made of metal sheet, textile, plastic or other materials are used to distribute air inside the cold room.

The conveyor for this new range of radial evaporators has been designed to direct the air flow either frontways or sideways in all four directions just by turning and placing it along the axes.

Since these air coolers are so versatile, they are especially suitable to be used in processing rooms, logistic centres and large cold rooms for food storage.

This range of radial evaporators manufactured by Stefani can be also used with different kinds of fluids such as HFC, NH3, water and glycol.

Radial evaporators: Main features:

  • Fin spacing: 4 mm – 6 mm – 7.5 mm
  • From 1 to 4 fans, Ø 500 mm – 560 mm – 630 mm, in regular and EC versions
  • Power from 8 kW to 140 kW (SC 2 conditions)

Radial evaporators: defrosting

  • Air defrosting
  • Electric defrosting
  • Water defrosting (airT > -5 °C)
  • Hot gas defrosting

Radial evaporators: advantages

  • Easy to service
  • Reduced frost formation
  • Available pressure head as from 150 Pa
  • Low energy consumption
