Melinda, one of the major fruit and vegetables consortia in Trentino, have created an experimental project that is quite interesting from the environmental point of view: the use of fifteen kilometres of tunnels dug into the rock of the quarry in Rio Grande, Mollaro, in Val di Non, in order to build cold storage rooms made entirely underground.

Thanks to precious collaboration with the Longofrigo company, Stefani suggest SGIN industrial air coolers with propylene glycol, configured specifically for this application, capable of ensuring suitable temperature in the conservation chamber with a minimum difference between the temperature of the thermal carrier fluid and air temperature.
